With the rise of BLM and the important discussions surrounding racism and iden- tity it was surprising to discover how little the German curriculum covers the history related to the topic. The only mention is not part of history class but English.

As a response I created an Instagram account providing preliminary information about important people, documents and events, that should be known to better understand the beginnings of the BLM movement. Sources are listed at the end of the carousels to encourage own research.
